About Me - Disposition

A Peaceful Lifestyle

I have longed for a tranquil way of life. Having a house built next to a fish pond, embowered in a coniferous forest and the garden blanketed with verdure grass and beautiful flowers. No vehicles in the vicinity. No quarrels and violence. All these are just dreams in Hong Kong, where pollution is severe for a major part of a year. I'm sure this is not only a dream for me, but for those on the planet who are suffering from a hectic pace of life and leading a depressed, dreary life. That's the reason why hundreds of thousands of Hong Kong residents are travelling abroad every year just to evade all worldly pomp and trivialities in order to enjoy a tranquil environment for the vacation.

An Amicable Disposition

I have an amicable disposition. Although I don't express myself really well, I am not repulsive (at least I try not to be) and I do not get furious easily. I don't have many friends because I fail to open myself to the world around me. I am rather self-centered (but not introverted). Therefore, in order not to lose my friends, I try to be as amiable and sincere as possible in my daily life. In the society there are wicked and hypocritical faces virtually everywhere. They do aren't real friends, though.

A snail A Snail's Comparison

I am like a snail. A snail is slow in pace. So am I. Since I have a tardy brain and I am quite passive in action, I like writing more than speaking. Speaking reveals my frailties that I cannot make instant responses gracefully. For writing, I can organize everything neatly as time is not important, especially with the help of a computer. Some people think that snails are seclusive because they live like a hermit inside the shell. Yet a snail can take its home everywhere and go to any place as it sees fit. The world is really grand in size. It's not easy for me to marshal my courage to explore the unknown horizons on my own. As I am curious about the world, still, I will be interested to know anything appealing while unfamiliar to me. Many pen pal sites have been established on the World Wide Web. I would like to know more pen friends, primarily because I would like to broaden my horizons and get acquainted with people of different nationalities, though through writing, around the world. I can read English well, yet my listening and oral skills aren't so good, and it would be rather difficult for me to get on with foreigners in my neighbourhood. I am rather honest and friendly, and I treat my pen friends with as much sincerity as possible. Anyone is welcome to be my pen friend. See the "Contact Me" page at the last section.
